PRAIRIE - Essie Haughton, 60, died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2009, at her home.

Services were held Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009 at Mt. Union M.B. Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Westbrooks Funeral Home of Aberdeen was in charge of the arrangements.

Lizzie Gates

OKOLONA – Lizzie Gates, 60, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center.

Services were held Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at Williams Memorial Chapel in Okolona. Burial was in Okolona Cemetery.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary “LuLu” Hill of Tupelo; one son, Ricky “Lil Bo” Hill of Okolona; three brothers, Jimmy Hill of Moss Point, Earnest Hill of Arkansas and Sharon Herron of Tennessee; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three special great-grandchildren.

Bo Jaggers

OKOLONA – Thomas Edward “Bo” Jaggers, 65, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. He was born on Aug. 18, l944, to James Edward and Julia Lovett Jaggers. He was a retired employee of the Columbus and Greenville Railroad. He served many years in the Mississippi National Guard.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009 at Oddfellows Cemetery in Okolona with Bro. Eric Boykin officiating. Holland Funeral Directors, Okolona Chapel, was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include one sister, Mary Kate “Sissy” Jaggers of Okolona; two nieces, Karen Jones and Liz Perry (Morris) of Okolona; and several cousins.
