n Chiefs drop 34-7

Special to the Chickasaw Journal

OKOLONA - The East Webster Wolverines continued their roll into a perfect season Friday night as they dropped the Okolona Chieftains 34-7 in division play.

The Wolves came out strong, scoring three times in the first quarter. Senior QB Jonathan Banks pushed in a two-yard TD, but the Cheiftain defense refused to allow the conversion. Banks hit Tanner Roberson for a TD to follow. Banks then returned a punt 48 yards for a TD and a 20-0 lead.

East Webster senior Reggie O'Briant gained a TD on a 26-yard run and Demetrius O'Briant added one on a one-yard run.

Okolona's offense couldn't match the Wolves, but they gained a defensive TD as sophomore Zack Brooks snagged an interception and took it 68 yards in for the score.

The Chiefs will travel to West Lowndes this Friday with kickoff at 7 p.m.

Oct. 31 will be Homecoming for Okolona during halftime of the Biggersville game.
