ACKERMAN - The East Webster Wolves and Lady Wolves took on close rivals in the Ackerman Indians and Lady Indians with both of the Cumberland teams gaining wins.

Lady Wolves

The Lady Wolves and Lady Indians went neck-and-neck through the first half with Ackerman coming up ahead 16-15 at the half.

The second half saw the Lady Wolves turn up the juice as they posted double-digit quarters and outscored the Lady Indians, taking a 43-33 win.

Wolverines

The Ackerman boys jumped out to an early lead (21-16) in the first quarter, but the Wolves put the pressure on in the second, outscoring the Indians (18-12) and taking a 34-33 halftime lead.

The Wolves kept up the pressure, adding four more points to their lead in the third, but the Indians weren't giving up easily. The Ackerman boys got a 13-9 run in the fourth to close the gap to one point, but the Wolves pulled off the 61-60 win.

The Win put the Wolves at 2-2. They will host Houlka this Thursday in Cumberland.
